Gloria Cain speaks out about sexual harassment allegations,
    http://wapo.st/vHnqqO
In her first ever television interview, Gloria Cain disputes the sexual harassment claims made against her husband. She said that Cain would have to posses a split personality to be capable of the acts the five women are accusing him of committing. “To hear such graphic allegations and know that that would have been something that was totally disrespectful of her as a woman and I know that’s not the person he is,” she said. Herman Cain had previously said that his wife supported him during the allegations, and that she knew he would not do anything as silly as what the women claim.

(via Politico) Herman Cain’s poll numbers slide in POLITICO poll: ‘Among likely Republican voters surveyed Sunday, Nov. 6, Cain led the field with 40 percent. ECB controls the monetary policy of the 17 eurozone countries, including Greece. Murdoch said he had not been told of the hacking, despite conflicting testimony by former News of the World editor Colin Myler and former legal chief Tom Crone. Instead, Murdoch blamed former underlings for providing the committee with testimony that was “not right.” “No, I did not,” Mr. Murdoch replied after a committee member asked him if he had, in fact, given misleading testimony about what he knew and when he knew it.

After Chef’s Hitler Remark, Bankers Change Lunch Plans, http://nyti.ms/sngQc4
At Tuesday night’s Time Magazine Person of the Year event, Mario Batali angered bankers after comparing them to Hitler and Stalin. Batali nominated bankers to be people of the year, saying they “had the largest effect on the whole planet.” “The way the bankers have toppled the way that money is distributed, and taken most of it into their own hands,” Batali said, “is as good as Stalin or Hitler.” Stalin and Hilter have both been Person of the Year. Now bankers say they will no longer patron Batali’s restaurants. Some are even saying they will not reimburse receipts from employees that eat at his restaurants.

Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos kidnapped in Venezuela, http://wapo.st/vXffbg

Ramos had gone home to spend time with his family and play on a team there. Four armed men kidnapped him and sped off in a vehicle. The team is in a state of shock and questioning the safety of playing in a country that’s so popular for beatings and kidnappings.

Remains of war dead dumped in landfill, http://wapo.st/vPyIkG
For years, the Dover Air Force Base mortuary disposed of troops’ remains by cremating them and dumping the ashes in a Virginia landfill, a practice that officials have since abandoned in favor of burial at sea. The parts were reportedly cremated and then dumped in the landfill from 2003 to 2008. Only body parts that were not identified, or were later found after wars, were disposed of using the process. On Tuesday, the Dover mortuary said it had lost a soldier’s ankle and mishandled other body parts. U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that there may be more accountability and that there is “no excuse” for an incident like this to occur.

An ‘Oops’ From Perry in G.O.P. Presidential Debate, http://nyti.ms/v3YGYb
At the GOP debate last night, Texas Governor Rick Perry declared that he would cut three government agencies. “Commerce, Education,” Perry said before pausing for an uncomfortable moment as he looked from side to side, counting on his fingers and flipping through his notes. As his rivals volunteered suggestions, a moderator tried to save Perry by asking if he could name the third agency. “The third one, I can’t,” he finally said, a sad look on his face after 53 seconds had gone by. “Sorry. Oops.” Now pundits are saying the Perry campaign is done due to performances in prior debates. “I’m glad I had my boots on tonight,” Mr. Perry said, “because I sure stepped in it out there.”

Debate crowd cheers Cain in face of sexual harassment claims, http://bit.ly/tmrRjH
The crowd at Wednesday’s GOP debate in Michigan fully supported Herman Cain in the sexual harassment scandal. The crowd booed when the moderator asked Cain if, in the wake of sexual-harassment allegations, he had the character to be president. Cain attacked the “unfounded accusations” and “character assassination.” The crowd also booed when the moderator asked Mitt Romney if, as the CEO of a company, he would have fired Cain over the charges. Romney did not answer the question. Another Rasmussen poll of Florida shows Cain leading Romney, 30 to 24.

The yield on 10 year government bonds reached more than 7%, which is the highest since the euro was created in 1999. The 7 percent level is considered unsustainable, having been the mark at which Portugal, Greece, and Ireland were all forced to seek E.U. bailouts. An E.U. team will arrive in Rome Wednesday to begin monitoring Italy’s plans to deal with debt.

Officials believe that Iran did not stop its program in 2003 but instead, money for research was funneled through seemingly harmless civilian institutions.

On Sunday, exactly one year before the 2012 presidential election, thousands of activists gathered outside of the White House to protest TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline. Supporters of the pipeline say it will create thousands of jobs and reduce American dependence on foreign oil. Those against the pipeline say it is hazardous for the environment and public health. The founder of the Natural Resources Defense Council said Obama’s “trying to get elected, but there’s also a really important decision that he’s got to make to put us on the right path. Hard Economic Times Rob Young Voters of ‘Hope’ http://bit.ly/tufpUV
With the rate of unemployment for young Americans at a high, Obama might have trouble convincing voters there is “hope” for tomorrow during his 2012 campaign. In September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the unemployment rate for adults ages 18 to 34 was 12.1 percent, well above the 9 percent national average. “The State of Young America” says that the economic slowdown has battered Americans ages 18 to 34, both in terms of their current employment prospects and their hopes for tomorrow.

According to The Atlantic, Pakistan has been continuously shuffling its nuclear weapons between the 15 facilities that hold them in order to make it harder for India or the US to carry out a raid. The moving of the weapons has been done in normal, low-security vehicles in everyday traffic. “The Pakistani government is willing to make its nuclear weapons more vulnerable to theft by jihadists simply to hide them from the United States, the country that funds much of its military budget,” Jeffrey Goldberg and Marc Ambinder write.

Cain camp considering legal action against Politico, http://goo.gl/Rl1Y2
An aide to Herman Cain said yesterday that the candidate is considering legal action against Politico for reporting on his past sexual harassment claims. This is likely not over with Politico from a legal perspective,” the campaign official told The Washington Post. Despite this, Politico is still reporting on the allegations, revealing new details where one of the two women claims Cain made a sexual overture to her at a group event. The woman felt her job would be at risk if she did not comply with Cain in the situation. Meanwhile, Cain’s wife, who was supposed to do her first interview today with Fox News, has since cancelled.

William Adams, the Texas family-court judge who was videotaped beating his 16-year-old daughter with a belt, will not face charges because the statute of limitations has expired. Adams’ daughter, now 23, posted the video to YouTube where it caused an uproar. In a statement, Judge Adams said that his daughter posted the video because she was angry he reduced her financial allowance and took away her Mercedes. He did not apologize for the abuse and noted that the video “looks worse than it is.”
