    An intruder broke into a Sydney, Australia home, leaving an 18-year-old girl strapped to a bomb. He also left a ransom note for the girl’s father, a wealthy businessman. Cops were on the scene for 10 hours before defusing the bomb.

    Hosni Mubarak’s trial started yesterday. The former Egyptian president laid in a hospital bed during the proceedings. The bed was kept behind a wire and iron cage, which Mubarak’s sons also stayed behind. A large group of protestors, some in support of Mubarak and some not, stayed outside the courthouse.

    President Obama, who turns 50 on Thursday, will be celebrating his birthday with a fundraiser in Chicago Wednesday night. About 1,000 people will be in attendance; there will be performances by Jennifer Hudson, OK Go, Herbie Hancock, and a speech by the President. The President will have a conference call with thousands of campaign volunteers before the costly event.

    Computer security firm, McAfee has discovered that more than 70 government organizations and businesses have been hacked from a single server. The server has been traced back to a location in China. The cyber-attacks, the biggest bout in history, were carried out on The U.S. Department of Energy Lab, the Associated Press, the International Olympic Committee, and more.

    A new video has been released showing Nancy Garrido, wife of fellow Jaycee Duggard kidnapper: Phil Garrido, luring a young girl into a van and asking her to do splits. The video is one of twenty and was made two years after Duggard’s kidnapping. The evidence is part of a report demonstrating the justice’s system inadequacy when dealing with Phil Garrido, who had already been convicted of kidnapping and rape. It is also said that Garrido passed drug tests by using a prosthetic penis and pouring Mountain Dew into a cup.
