    In today’s news, both Republicans and Democrats have expressed support for Obama’s Chief of Staff choice Bill Daley, LGBT groups go head to head over anti-gay guests on CNN, and you’re in luck if you want to smell like Rihanna!

    Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell expresses his support for Obama’s Chief of Staff pick.  McConnell believes it will be beneficial to have someone with business experience on the hill.

    Liberal Senators are also expressing support for the Chief of Staff choice.  However, liberal groups such as MoveOn.org and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee are dissenting, saying it sends the wrong message to the average American.

    The unemployment rate dropped sharply in December, despite a meek report on job creation last month.  The dropping unemployment rate is an encouraging sign that the US is making its way out of the recession.
