Indiana Democrats boycott state House, face fines, http://reut.rs/AjgT5p
Indiana House Democrats have been boycotting legislative sessions over a right-to-work bill that Republicans call job-creating and Democrats call union-busting. The bill would not require workers at union-represented workplace to pay dues. Instead of attending yesterday’s session, House Democrats held a rally in the House rotunda in protest of the bill. In response, Republicans voted to fine Democrats $1,000 a day until they return back to work. House Minority Leader Pat Bauer said they would go to court over the fines.

The site where the severed appendages were found is a popular filming location; although, the LAPD says they haven’t found any evidence that the crime was committed in the area.

New Bid to Stifle Iran Aid to Syria, http://on.wsj.com/xe563w
U.S. officials have found more evidence that Iran is supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Syria has been shipping oil to Iran in order to avoid the American and European embargo. The oil has then been sold on the international market with the revenue going back to Damascus. Before the embargo, a third of Syria’s revenue was from oil exports. Officials also believe that Assad is the revenue to buy weapons from Russia. This week Moscow confirmed that a ship from St. Petersburg delivered weapons to Syria.
