Yesterday, I asked on Facebook “What were some of the more memorable political moments of 2011?” We received a wide array of answers that included the Anthony Weiner scandal, the Occupy protests, the debt ceiling negotiations, the collective bargaining strikes in Wisconsin, and much more. Many of the responses included events and moments that I had completely forgotten about; they’d been swept away by the blitz of daily news I was currently enraged by, engaged in, or just following out of sheer interest.
Hypervocal has made a great compilation video of all of the 2011 events we should remember. They call 2011 the year that “shook us all year long.” Whether that’s true or not, seeing all of these sometimes moving and sometimes mind-blowing events at once will definitely leave you wowed.

And to all our blog readers, have a great holiday and a Happy New Year! I wonder if 2012 will leave us “shaken” or not?

We need Anthony Weiner back in the senate along with Alan Grayson, we have lost some of our smartest and courageous congressman this yr. 2011. And now Barrney Franks is to retire, this is not good for the 99% or the 80 percenters.
