    Buckeyes vote. Buckeyes win.

September is known for a few things: Cool fall breezes, back to school sales and only one more month to register to vote before the OHIO October 4th voter register deadline (other state deadlines can be found here). What September really means here in Ohio though, is it’s time for some OHIO STATE FOOTBALL!

Last night, the No, 2 Buckeyes kicked off their season with a 45-7 victory against Marshall. Marshall scored their only 7 points during the first quarter, with Ohio State preventing the Thundering Herd from scoring again for the remainder of the game. Heisman hopeful Terrell Pryor led his team with 3 touchdowns and the promise of an exciting season of OSU football.

At Rock The Vote, we’ve teamed up with the student organization OSU Votes to make voter registration easy and available to the entire Ohio State campus. This means we’ll be touting our scarlet and grey all September around the shoe. We’ll be tailgating and tabling to remind you to update your registration to your current address or inspire you to register for the first time.

This midterm election is an exciting one in Ohio with a heavily contested governor’s race, senate race, and countless congressional and local races heating up. They all have impact in how Ohioans live their day-to-day lives, and it’s exciting to see so many students get involved.

We hope to see you at the next OSU game on September 11 when Ohio State takes on the University of Miami. Following that, Ohio University and Eastern Michigan each get their chance to be shamed by the Buckeyes on the 18th and 25th of September. Check out live.rockthevote.com for what we’ll be doing around OSU Football and ways you can come out and join us. OH!
