Can we agree on two things? One: we’ve got a bad economy. And two: our planet is in peril with rising sea levels, crazy storms, melting ice caps, famine, disease, etc.
Would you be interested in something that puts people to work building a new green economy and saves the environment? I thought you might. Who doesn’t love a win-win?!
Since Tuesday, dozens of groups have been calling the Senate to demand they pass comprehensive clean energy and climate legislation as part of the 72 Hours for Clean American Power national call-in campaign. Can you make a call?
Young people have been a huge part of this – from students setting up tables to generate calls on campuses all over the country to organizing huge online pushes. Make your voice heard by heading on over to one of the many online hubs for the call-in campaign: http://consequence09.org/72Hours/. Easy and important. What more do you need?

1. yes, we do have a bad economy
2. no, the seas aren’t rising, the ice caps are actually growing and climate change has been proven to be a fraud
But yes I would love to learn more about how creating green energy jobs can get people back to work; just like it did in Spain and it only cost the Spaniards two jobs for every one green job they created. Sounds like fun!
SEAN FOUSHEE: WHHHHAT? Climate change is a fraud? WHAT PLANET ARE YOU ON? SCIENTIST ALL OVER THE WORLD can come together and agree that we are in a cycle of chnging climate on earth, what they cannot agree on is if it is man induced or a natural course of our planet. The question is not IF global warming is occuring but WHY it is occuring to begin with and WHAT can we do about it. (if anything) Attitudes and misperceptions like yours it what will continue us down this path if it is preventable. People need to stand up and take responsibility for the care of our planet. We need to move beyond local environmental awareness to a planetary level whether the government is on board or not. It will take a all of us working together to make this a reality. A while back I decided I didnt like my government and the way they took care of business. I didnt agree with the policies so I wanted to help affect change. Part of that is environmental. We all need to stop considering ourselves citzens of just this nation and start behaving like citizens of our planet. Sign me up, whatever I can do to help please let me know and I will rally support from all sorts of poeple. Email me call me whatever. Im there.
