- Protests continue in Iran with massive crackdowns by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad government. Ahmadinejad also announced in a speech that Iran is now a ‘nuclear state’.
- The massive storms on the east coast have given the debate about climate change new energy.
- US Olympic Skier favorite Lindsey Vonn announced she has a serious shin injury that could keep her off the slopes for the Winter Games.
And speaking of the Olympics – who’s excited! I know I am – opening ceremonies are tomorrow night.
