    Health care reform next steps

The latest news in the health care debate is that President Obama is going to hold a bipartisan summit on February 25th. The half-day event will include Republicans and Democrats and will be televised live.

What do you think will happen? And what do you think should happen?

Interestingly, Ezra Klein of the Washington Post has a rundown of the Republican measures that are already in the health care bills that passed the Senate:

At this point, I don’t think it’s well understood how many of the GOP’s central health-care policy ideas have already been included as compromises in the health-care bill. But one good way is to look at the GOP’s “Solutions for America” homepage, which lays out its health-care plan in some detail. It has four planks. All of them — yes, you read that right — are in the Senate health-care bill.

I think its time for the Democrats and the Republicans to start agreeing about the health care, so many Americans have no health care whilst it is crucial for everyone to have it, much talk is being said but less action is taken

I also agree with Zaida. I think that Democrats and Republicans should put their differences aside and agree on at least one thing, healthcare.

Healthcare is all the rage in speeches and protests. We need something done about it since everyone should have healthcare. Its our right as Americans to have this.

Ok, You also need to keep the doctors in mind when passing this bill. Medical school is not cheap. Becoming a doctor isn’t easy. They work super hard to become doctors. The healthcare bill will make it impossible for any young doctor to make a decent salary. The healthcare bill is simply not the answer. I think We should look into the other possibilities. What about a two tear program? I care about what happens to our country cause one day, I will be a major voice in the government. The government can’t solve every problem for you. To quote Thomas Jefferson ” A Government that can give you everything you want, Can take everything you have”
