The fight to get resources and aid to Haiti continues. Even if you have given before, please consider giving again. Here are a few more resources:
- Artists for Peace and Justice – Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Pohler, and Olivia Wilde will be among the celebrities donating their outfits worn at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, January 17, 2010. Artists for Peace and Justice will auction them off to the public and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to help the people of Haiti in this incredible time of need.
- Save the Children – Save the Children has worked in Haiti since 1978 and currently has about 200 staff on the ground.
- UNICEF – UNICEF is on the ground in over 150 countries and territories to help children survive and thrive, from early childhood through adolescence. The world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.
- Music for Relief – Founded by the band Linkin Park, Music for Relief is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. Linkin Park, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Alanis Morissette, Slash,The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Kenna, Enrique Iglesias and Lupe Fiasco teamed up with Music For Relief to aid earthquake victims.
